Ezi Magbegor Under 7.5 Rebounds (-132)
With the addition of Gabby Williams, Ezi Magbegor’s numbers have taken quite a hit compared to before this arrival. Season averages of 11.9 Points/8.2 rebounds have seemingly fallen off completely. Over the last five games, Magbegor is only averaging 7.8 points with 4.3 Rebounds.
In this span, the Seattle forward has surpassed 7.5 rebounds in just one game. Playing time has also declined some, with Magbegor playing more than 30 minutes in only 1-of-5 contests.
The New York Liberty are one of the better rebounding teams in the WNBA, limiting the opposition to just under 33 rebounds per game.
Ariel Atkins Over 14.5 Points (-128)
Ariel Atkins has been hovering around this point total in the last 4-of-5 games, and tonight gets a matchup against a Phoenix team in what should be a fast-tempo contest. The last time these two teams faced off against each other, they combined for over 180 points.
Atkins has played the Mercury two times this season. In one contest she slightly went over, and the other finished just Under with 14 points.
Phoenix is allowing over 84 points per game, with 8.9 three-pointers, and over 14 points from the free-throw line. With such a minimal amount of scoring options for Washington, this appears to be a fantastic spot for Atkins to clear 14.5 points.
Julie Vanloo Over 7.5 Points (-120)
Based on recent playing time, and productivity, we don’t mind if you feel reluctant towards this selection. Having said that, Julie Vanloo has filled up on points on two different occasions against the Mercury.
Vanloo is averaging 16 points, on 45.8% shooting from the field, and 4.0 three-pointers against the Mercury this season. Considering Phoenix is tied in allowing the most three-pointers per game, this isn’t a total we plan on shying away from.
Opponents are taking just under 30 three-pointers per game against the Mercury, knocking down 33% of their attempts.
Kahleah Copper Over 4.5 Rebounds (+102)
On the opposite end of the court, Kahleah Copper appears to be in a prime spot for scoring as reflected by the point total and odds. The rebounding total, on the other hand, might be selling the Phoenix guard a little short, which is certainly to our benefit.
Copper is averaging 4.5 rebounds on the season. Over the last eight contests, she has increased that number to an even 5.0 boards per game, with only two games where she fell short of five rebounds. In the two previous matchups against Washington, Copper has pulled down an average of six rebounds.
The Mystics and Mercury combine for 43.5% shooting from the field, and 35% from beyond the arc. With Phoenix constantly pushing the pace, there should be ample rebounding opportunity for the veteran guard to clear 4.5 boards.
Enjoy the games today, and good luck with your picks!
